Extensive travel throughout the Middle East from Morocco to Afghanistan, and continued studies since 1990 with master national and international oriental dance teachers has instilled a great passion and authenticity for the art in this highly regarded performer / teacher.

Shahara has been an Academy of Middle Eastern Dance teacher and member of the Oasis Dancers since 19991. She is a “FULL TIME” professional dancer, with extensive experience in all fields of the art, teaching several beginners to advance classes weekly, providing lectures, demonstrations, introductory classes, courses and workshops tailored to the needs of schools, pre-schools and kindergartens, festivals, clubs, and women’s, seniors and health groups. Shahara performs at major events, balls, weddings, parties, dinners, girls’ nights, conventions and conferences. Shahara has also made television appearances on : In the Box”, “The Great Southeast”, and “Brisbane Extra”.

Princess Shahara is especially popular amongst children. Her innovative “Belly Dance Parties for Children”, has been voted by mums and dads as one of Brisbane’s best parties for children in the “Places for Little Faces: book.

Shahara’s energy and friendly personality promotes an interactive rapport with her spellbound audience, amazing , exciting and thrilling them with an extraordinary cultural experience.
