What is a show?
A bellydance show is usually a 10-40 minute dance performance, with or without live musicians, featuring veil dancing, playing of finger cymbals, and stick dancing. Sword dancing and audience participation may also be featured.

What to expect from a show?
Shows can be choreographed and performed on a stage or dance floor, or can involve roving through the party, or a combination of both.

What does the Bellydancer need for her show?
Stage size - at least 2x2 metres per dancer
Dressing room - if possible
Sound system - for performance CDs
Water

What is the role of the Audience?
Middle Eastern dance requires involvement from the audience. This involvement creates an atmosphere of the people of Egypt, Turkey, Persia, India, Lebanon, Tunisia and many other countries, and gives a richness to the experience for you and the dancers. Your applause and clapping along with the music provides the atmosphere.

Music accompaniment
Live accompaniment by tabla players or bands may be requested e.g. tabla master Abdel Fattah El-Imam from Jordan

Prices
Range from $150 per solo dancer, depending on length of show, and location of venue
